One On One With Adeoye Adetunju Aka 2thpick

Adeoye Adetunji is an Artist in every sense of the word. He sings, Acts and He is Also an Art Director. He was in the middle of a job ( buying materials for his next work) when we caught him, but being the gentle man that he is, he managed to multi task, shop and speak with us.

rayscorner: Alright, TJ, thanks for squeezing us in to your busy schedule.
Please introduce yourself to our readers.

TJ: My name is Adeoye Adetunji and I am an Art Director.

rayscorner: we happen to know that you also sing and Act, tell us about that

TJ: Well yea, I have always been an Artist. Yes, I was once on the reality TV show. The Next movie star. And that was fun. But for now, my focus is on Art directing, building sets, working behind the scenes.

rayscorner: is this because that seems to be more financial rewarding or do you derive more artistic gratification from that.

TJ: I think it is a bit of both. I love what I'm doing.

rayscorner: So, If you had to pick one, which one would it be?

TJ: Well, I guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

rayscorner: So is TJ single?

TJ: Yes, I'm focusing on my career right now. I'm busy with work right now.

rayscorner: so your being single is conditioned by work?

TJ: It's not that deep, I mentioned I'm not a very outdoor person also I'm at a stage of career where I'm super busy, so all that.

rayscorner: Do you hang out often?

TJ: Actually No, I lived my life in a quiet town so i try to live like that even here in Lagos. Once I get off the busy streets, I have all the quiet time I need to my self.

rayscorner: Do you keep friends within the industry?

TJ: Uhm, not really, because the industry can be a bit toxic, so I try to keep to my self as much as I can

rayscorner: so, do you have any plans of relocating

TJ: Nah, I will definitely always return back to Naija. I grew up with a deep sense of patriotism, and I love it that way. I love my country.

rayscorner: you were nominated for "Best Art Director" category in the recently concluded AMVCA, how did that feel.

TJ: That was a good feeling, although I didn't win, it tells me that my work is appreciated. And we will get there

rayscorner: What was your highlight of the event?

TJ: Basically being present, being in that room with all those talented people. That was a highlight.

rayscorner: Alright TJ.  Thank you for allowing us to bug you, Even on a busy day like this. More wins ahead, brother. We look forward to a live session with you, sometime soon.

TJ: Thanks. It's a pleasure bro. No problem. Just buzz me.
