One On One With Savy

We had the privilege of Chatting with "The wedding Singer" Savy, and it was a pleasant one. He's so down to earth. and also he was very helpful in way we didn't expect.

rayscorner: Hello...…. Finally we are doing this. Thank you for making out time Sir. Kindly introduce yourself to the world Sir.

Savy: My name is Savy Henry. I’m a singer, songwriter, guitarist and aspiring producer. Savy is from my first name ‘Saviour’ and Henry is my middle name.

rayscorner: So how long has it been? your music journey

Savy:  It’s been a few years now, not where I want to be but I’m grateful for the progress I have made

rayscorner: So make I ask one jamb question sir..lol. So I noticed that besides Style plus , kush and Ghanian VIP who are all kind of extinct, Africa doesn't have any group Artists.
Why do you think that is?

Savy: Well probably because everyone wants to be able to do their thing without any restrictions and maybe there just isn’t a market for it at the moment.

rayscorner: So would you sing in a group and why?

Savy: I think I’d love to if I get the opportunity, there just has to be no restrictions from me making my own music too. Why? Why not? Making music with people who are gifted and are really good at it would be an amazing thing.

rayscorner: As a rising singer and Artist what are some of the challenges you have faced

Savy: There are a whole lot of challenges being an independent artist especially one that does my type of music. From the acceptance, to airplays, to getting people to listen and most importantly, funds that simplifies everything else and makes it a ton easier.

rayscorner: Can you share with our readers some of your wildest dream

Savy: Selling out many of the biggest arenas in the world and making music with Taylor Swift.

rayscorner: So I believe that meeting stars can go both ways, you stand to be either impressed or disappointed . Can you spill which celebrity did you meet and you went like wow!!! Or like Oh...lol

Savy: Hmmmm, skip.

rayscorner: So what are you currently working on

Savy: I’m currently working on a lot of music, singles and an EP that hopefully comes out some time later in the year.

rayscorner: Briefly describe your style of music to us and what influences it

Savy: Love. My music is to inspire love, to make you vulnerable in a good way, to see accept love in its purest and many forms. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been hurt by it, my music is meant to heal that, sometimes grieve about those loves that hurt but in all to always believe Love has always and will always be a beautiful thing.

rayscorner: If you had a pass to Collaborate with 3 Stars of your choice today, who and who would you choose.?

savy: I think it would depend on if its International or Local. International would be Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Julia Michaels. Local would be Wizkid, Asa and Tems

rayscorner: So Are you single? Sure your female fans are dying ton know

Savy: I’m in a relationship with my music. (Laughs out loud)

rayscorner: Do you consider yourself a Romantic Guy?

savy: Yesss. I am a man of Love, being romantic comes with the package.

rayscorner: What is your all time favorite love song?

Savy: Taylor Swift – Enchanted

rayscorner: Let's play a game, if I say love.../ what's the first thing that comes to mind?

Savy: There’s more than one thing that comes to mind but I’ll settle for Sacrifice.

rayscorner: wow! Impressive. Enough about love?
So do you write all your songs

Savy: Yes at the moment I write all. I would love to collaborate with so many other songwriters too.

rayscorner: Do you write songs about personal experiences, you know vulnerable songs

Savy: Yes I do write about experiences, sometimes not my personal experiences, it could be about someone I know or a story I heard or even maybe a movie sometimes.

rayscorner: Which of songs would you say is the most personal and why?

Savy: "This is How I Feel" is the most personal one for me. From the first lines all the way to the end, it was all real and personal.

rayscorner: You describe yourself as a wedding singer. What is your most favorite part of a wedding.

Savy: After the part where I get to sing, The food

rayscorner: I couldn't help but Notice  that Johnny Drill follows you. Is there a connection or is he just a fan.

Savy: Well, I don’t think there’s so much in it. He is an amazing singer all round and I think we just respect both our works plus I’ve so done a couple covers of his songs. So no I don’t think there’s anything special to it.

rayscorner: Finally Sir, given the opportunity what would you change about the music industry or entertainment industry in general.

Savy: To provide more opportunities for all Independent. To rate us more and give us a bigger push.

rayscorner: Alright Sir.... Thank you, thank you, thank you for being so nice to us. We don't take it for granted.
